Airport Services Duty Supervisor

About the Role

Qatar Airways is seeking an Airport Services Duty Supervisor to join its Ground Services team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The supervisor will report directly to the Duty Officer and will be responsible for overseeing a team to deliver customer service that aligns with Qatar Airways' standards.

Role Context

The Airport Services Duty Supervisor will support the Airport Services Manager as needed and demonstrate proficiency in managing operational challenges such as flight delays, disruptions, and denied boarding situations. The role involves acting as a primary contact for agents requiring assistance and ensuring compliance with operational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the station coordinator, liaising between the ground handling agent and Qatar Airways.
• Supervise the airport team to ensure on-time flight closure and passenger boarding, contributing to overall on-time performance.
• Plan efficient duty allocations for Customer Service Agents during duty periods.
• Provide support to the Airport Services Duty Officer during flight disruptions, misconnections, and other passenger-related issues.
• Perform aircraft turnaround check (ATC) duties as assigned by the Airport Services Manager to ensure safe operation of Qatar Airways' ground ramp product.
• Generate various reports and maintain a tidy workplace.
• Serve as the primary contact for agents needing assistance with questions, problems, or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, security, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across operations.

Required Experience

Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in airport services or a similar operational environment, demonstrating the ability to supervise teams and manage customer service operations effectively.

This role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within Qatar Airways' Ground Services division. The position is full-time and involves working within an international community focused on aviation services.
