About the Role

Rekrute is seeking a full-time Architect specialized in sports facilities to join their team in Riyadh. This role involves reviewing and overseeing the architectural aspects of sports facility projects, ensuring strict compliance with project requirements, the Saudi Building Code (SBC), and applicable FIFA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans, designs, and specifications for sports facilities.
• Participate in the design process for stadiums, training centers, and other sports complexes.
• Check and ensure compliance for access, circulation, emergency exits, and overall accessibility.
• Oversee the layout and design of stands, changing rooms, restrooms, and dedicated VIP, media, and administrative areas.
• Examine and approve materials, finishes, samples, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate work effectively with different technical disciplines involved in the project.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare necessary comments and reports.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor work quality and progress.
• Identify non-conformities and follow up on the correction of remarks.
• Review technical submittals, variations, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure full compliance with the Saudi Building Code, Civil Defense requirements, and applicable FIFA standards throughout all project phases.

Required Qualifications

• A degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Professional experience of 7 to 10 years in architectural design.
• Mandatory experience in at least one sports project, such as a stadium, club, training center, or sports complex.
• Mandatory experience in applying FIFA standards for stadiums, football pitches, training centers, and team base camps.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Good knowledge of technical requirements for pitches, including dimensions, run-off areas, orientation, lighting, drainage, irrigation, and natural or synthetic turf.
• Ability to read and thoroughly review architectural plans, details, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active participation in site visits and close coordination with various project stakeholders.
