About the Role

Afaq - Warehouse Branch is seeking an Area Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations, to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading a substantial and diverse operational team within a fulfillment center environment. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of productivity and operational flow to meet business demands.

Operational Leadership

As an Area Manager, you will gain direct experience in the intricate details of global business operations, ensuring seamless execution across your area. This hands-on role requires implementing effective team strategies to enhance productivity and collaborating closely with colleagues to resolve operational challenges as they arise.

Core Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team and across the site.
• Analyze operational performance and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent quality, high productivity levels, and the achievement of business objectives across all shifts.
• Provide leadership and support to a team, manage administrative tasks, and contribute to building a strong team culture.
• Evaluate performance data and propose process improvements to optimize work efficiency and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardize operational processes across shifts.

Day-to-Day Management

This role operates on shifts and is based at one of the operational sites. A primary focus will be on upholding safety standards within your team and throughout the facility, alongside monitoring and maintaining process efficiency. Daily activities include routine team management, executing operational tasks, addressing individual escalations, engaging in process improvement work, and participating in wide-scale operational contingency planning.

Strategic Collaboration and Analysis

Being an integral part of the operations team involves working with colleagues from other departments and external partners to ensure customer demands and targets are consistently met. This includes analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing the operational advantages and disadvantages of technical improvements with engineers.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in operations management or a related field, demonstrating a proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence in a dynamic environment.
