About the Making Links Asia University Programme

The Making Links Asia University Programme is designed for talented university students from underrepresented backgrounds. This full-time programme, based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aims to support participants in their early legal careers by developing technical and professional skills, commercial fluency, and a global outlook. The programme is offered across Linklaters' network offices, with content delivered in English, and requires 0-1 years of experience.

Programme Components

• A series of interactive webinars and online learning sessions organized regionally from January to June.
• One-on-one coaching sessions.
• A paid work experience programme in the closest local office.
• An additional sponsorship of two-weeks’ salary, paid at the beginning of the work experience programme.
• Invitations to local office activities throughout the programme duration.
• A strong focus on developing confidence in using English (written and oral) in a professional setting.

Application Requirements

To be considered for the programme, applicants must submit their CV, Transcript of Records, and a Cover Letter. Applications will not be considered if the Transcript of Records and Cover Letter are not provided.

Cover Letter Content

The cover letter must address the following points. Failure to address how you identify as having an underrepresented background will result in the application not being considered.

• Elaborate on what makes you a suitable candidate for the programme, specifically detailing how you identify as having an underrepresented background.
• Explain your reasons for applying to the programme.
• Outline your aspirations and what you hope to achieve through the programme.
