Job Description

About Noon

Noon is developing an ecosystem of digital products and services designed to power everyday life across the Middle East. The company focuses on delivering fast, scalable, and deeply customer-centric solutions. Noon's mission is to deliver to every door, every day. Its hyper-local delivery platform, Noon Minutes, offers a localized assortment of FMCG and grocery products with delivery within 15 minutes, currently operating across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The Role: Assistant Manager Instock

Noon is seeking an Assistant Manager Instock to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability, maintaining inventory health, and efficiently utilizing warehouse space for assigned categories, including both Food and Non-Food items. The Assistant Manager Instock will manage demand forecasts, replenishment strategies, stock levels, and space/capacity planning, with a focus on minimizing out-of-stock percentages and excess inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own instock performance and availability for assigned categories.
  • Build and maintain demand forecasts, replenishment plans, and lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
  • Monitor stock levels, out-of-stock (OOS) situations, overstock, and waste.
  • Plan and optimize warehouse space and capacity usage.
  • Support promotional activities and seasonal planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure alignment.
  • Provide actionable insights derived from sales, inventory, and space utilization data.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, category operations, or business analytics, ideally within e-commerce, quick commerce, retail, or FMCG sectors.
  • Solid grounding in inventory fundamentals, including safety stock, reorder points, lead time, coverage, and service level.
  • Working knowledge of demand forecasting, encompassing time-series behavior (trend, seasonality, intermittency), the construction and adjustment of baseline forecasts, and the ability to measure and interpret forecast accuracy and bias (MAPE, WMAPE, forecast error). The ability to discern a reliable forecast from an unreliable one and explain discrepancies is essential.
  • Strong analytical instinct, with the capacity to identify data anomalies and investigate their root causes.
  • Clear communication and effective stakeholder management skills, crucial for daily coordination with buyers, warehouse managers, and operations leads.
  • A bias for action and comfort operating within ambiguous, fast-paced environments, typical of quick commerce where immediate answers are not always readily available.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical or Machine Learning forecasting methods (*, ARIMA/ETS, regression, gradient boosting) or with a commercial forecasting/replenishment system.
  • Experience working with dark stores, micro-fulfilment centers, or perishable goods.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate high standards and a strong work ethic. They should be relentlessly resourceful and operate with a deep bias for action, showing courage to be innovative. Readiness to adapt, pivot, and continuously learn is essential for success within Noon's dynamic environment.
