Role Overview: Assistant Manager, Insurance Sector

Deloitte Saudi Arabia is seeking an Assistant Manager for the insurance sector in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on developing capabilities in audit and engagement management within the insurance industry. The Assistant Manager will contribute to delivering outstanding value to clients by applying innovative insights and solving complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand key statistics and industry matters of entities before engagement, utilizing team knowledge and prior financial statements.
• Coordinate with management and specialists regarding key deliverables and due dates for engagements.
• Track work findings and follow up on the impact of work performed by other team members.
• Apply guidance materials, practice aids, and tools to ensure professional skepticism in procedures, evidence, and conclusions.
• Sign off appropriately on work performed and reviewed, ensuring completion of checklists and procedures.
• Contribute to comprehensive project plans, identifying audit priorities for earlier execution.
• Prepare and review documentation, anticipating reviewer questions and including relevant facts, analysis, and professional judgments.
• Encourage professional skepticism and a questioning mindset within the wider team.
• Document objectivity, independence, and continuance decisions, ensuring sufficient inquiries and information capture.
• Verify that engagement staff possess adequate technical and industry knowledge for their assigned areas, providing briefings as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to apply AI in an audit context to enhance efficiency and quality, including prompt engineering fundamentals.
• Exercise professional skepticism when using AI-generated outputs, validating accuracy and appropriateness.
• Understand responsible AI expectations in professional services, including governance, confidentiality, data integrity, and use of firm-approved AI tools.
