We are seeking an Associate Director, Fiduciary & Fund Service, who is a Saudi National, to join our team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience.
Role Overview
This role requires expertise in Fund accounting, including local Fund accounting and industry knowledge. The Associate Director will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of daily NAV Processes. Critical success factors include the ability to collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the bank, a strong business understanding, an expert appreciation of Fund services, and a proactive approach to managing key risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with client/sales/product teams to finalize PPM/FASA and SLM documents.
- Liaise with the implementation/sales team for the onboarding of new Fund service clients.
- Onboard Fund Service clients in SeCCure and Multifonds via the hub (GBS MY).
- Communicate with the Data Management team and GBS MY regarding new fund onboarding and new instruments bought into funds.
- Report daily fund accounting and transfer agency transactions to GBS IN and GBS MY.
- Liaise with GBS IN for timely and accurate delivery of NAV reports.
- Liaise with GBS MY for timely delivery of TA transactions.
- Liaise with GBS Compliance MY for timely delivery, compliance monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Ensure client payment processing with proper approval, adhering to Group payment policy and guidelines.
- Follow up with clients on NAV approval.
- Review the generic email address for Fund Services and ensure same-day responses to client queries.
- Analyze and investigate daily Bank reconciliation items and Holdings reconciliation breaks received from GBS IN, communicating corrective actions.
- Liaise with auditors and GBS MY for the timely completion of client financial statements.
Risk Management and Governance
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of processes to reduce manual workarounds through automation.
- Review existing processes and propose best practices for group-wide implementation.
- Ensure satisfactory clearance of all audits without major findings and provide required information to auditors in a timely manner.
- Implement actions to close out audit findings impacting the area.
- Develop robust contingency plans for system breakdowns, infrastructure failures, unexpected volume spikes, attrition, or service provider unavailability.
- Ensure no material operational risks and review operational procedures to address gaps leading to losses.
- Review and amend DOI/Checklists quarterly.
- Ensure full compliance with Fund Services regulations at all times.
Team Collaboration and Development
The role involves ensuring ongoing training and development, setting appropriate expectations for teams (Hub), and collaborating with risk and control partners through weekly hub meetings. The individual is expected to be a team player, take responsibility for actions, accept fair accountability, and display innovation.
