About the Role: Associate Director - Finance

Coastal Transportation Services Company, a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, is seeking an Associate Director of Finance to join its Mobility Team in Riyadh. This full-time role is designed for a highly experienced and commercially astute professional. The position is strategic, focusing on providing financial insights, managing budgeting and forecasting, and conducting business performance analysis to shape the company’s financial direction and drive operational excellence.

Key Focus of the Position

This newly established role aims to establish and strengthen the business partnering function within the organization. The Associate Director will primarily achieve this through in-depth analysis of current activity and by building insights into performance against established budgets and business cases. The information derived will be crucial for forecasting and shaping the strategic direction of the business, ultimately integrating into the budget, capital, and overall business planning cycles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide regular insightful reporting to executive leadership within Mobility and Operations, supporting group reporting requirements.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes in alignment with company goals.
  • Contribute to the development and management of dynamic financial models, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate business performance.
  • Deliver high-quality financial insights, variance analyses, and scenario planning to support informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure alignment between management reporting and statutory accounts, fostering analytical rigor and continuous improvement.
  • Play a key role in strategic initiatives including business expansion, cost transformation, and investment analysis.

Financial Governance and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Consult with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring a smooth process and the resolution of any identified issues.
  • Support activities required to satisfy internal audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes, and practices, considering international best practice, business process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring continuous improvement in skills and performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and efficiency within the finance department and across other business functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, HR, and operations, to ensure financial alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a solid accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) background, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. A critical requirement for this role is the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights, providing essential support to senior management for strategic and operational decisions. The position involves working closely with the existing Business Support Team to drive business partnership with operations, building strong relationships, and establishing a robust platform to enhance performance across the business.
