The Role of Availability and Sharing Data Senior Specialist

We are seeking an Availability and Sharing Data Senior Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves operating with minimal supervision, working within established guidelines and procedures to prepare complex, specialized, or ad-hoc reports in the field of data availability and sharing. The specialist will contribute significantly to achieving operational targets and milestones within their assigned functional area, focusing on enhancing the Authority's data infrastructure and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

The core responsibilities for this role include undertaking operational activities to improve data accessibility and sharing across the Authority. Specific duties will involve:

• Conducting assessments to identify current needs and challenges related to data availability and sharing.
• Supporting the development of comprehensive plans to enhance the availability and sharing of data for the Authority.
• Preparing and implementing the Open Data and Data Sharing Program, including the development of outreach initiatives.
• Developing the roadmap for the implementation of these programs, clearly defining the Authority's specific requirements.
• Designing and implementing robust plans, procedures, and controls for the definition and dissemination of open data.
• Controlling data access practices by establishing and defining appropriate controls and procedures.
• Following up on the implementation of data availability and sharing initiatives to ensure their successful execution.
• Escalating complex problems to relevant personnel to ensure timely and proper resolution of cases and issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a strong academic background and relevant professional experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or an equivalent field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data management, data availability, or data sharing roles.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority's offices in Riyadh, contributing to critical national initiatives.
