About the Role

Saudi Airlines is seeking a Senior Specialist Data Governance to join its team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah. This full-time role focuses on monitoring and ensuring the comprehensive achievement of various data agendas within the organization. The specialist will oversee data quality, data catalogue, data sharing, and the data revenue framework, while also providing essential support for data management compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Adhere to established policies, operational procedures, and instructions.
• Implement day-to-day operations for the assigned area of work, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Perform any work assignments related to the job as directed by management.

Data Governance Program Management

• Coordinate with business data executives and business data stewards from each of the entity’s sectors and departments to receive inputs on data management programs.
• Develop and implement various data management programs, including Data Catalogue, Data Sharing, Individual Profile, Data Classification, and Data Revenue.
• Monitor and ensure the efficient implementation process of data management programs, including identifying entity’s requirements, monitoring progress, reporting on KPIs, and proposing enhancements.
• Maintain and develop an inventory of enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems and owners, under supervision.
• Work with business owners to define and establish data quality rules, definitions, and strategy consistent with division and organizational goals.

Compliance and Support

• Provide support to superiors in defining performance indicators and quality metrics.
• Ensure compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles, responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in data governance or a related field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to operations in Jeddah.
