About the Bid Engineer Role

Diyar United Company is seeking a Bid Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on leading the creation and submission of bids and quotations for potential customers. The role involves close collaboration with technical, sales, and support teams to develop winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process, from initial review of tender documents to final submission.
  • Analyze customer requirements and technical input to develop compelling proposals.
  • Coordinate with Pre-Sales, Technical, Support, and Sales teams to gather necessary information and resources.
  • Author, tailor, and edit proposal content, ensuring all client questions are addressed comprehensively.
  • Design the structure, content, and aesthetics of bids and proposals.
  • Conduct editorial reviews of bid documents and arrange review meetings, circulating notes and actions.
  • Challenge and verify proposal inputs from a customer's perspective to enhance the deal strategy.
  • Perform internal and external research to support bid production.
  • Review, verify, and optimize project costing in coordination with stakeholders, including the Bids Director and CEO.
  • Ensure timely and within-budget bid submissions.
  • Actively seek to implement lessons learned and improve bid processes in line with company objectives.
  • Manage the Etimad tender lifecycle, including opportunity identification, bid submission, and post-award coordination.
  • Supervise and process additional assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer & Communication Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within a leading IT/System Integration Company.
  • Proven experience in a coordination role within an office environment.
  • Experience in reviewing, writing, editing, and producing large technical and commercial documents.
  • Experience in writing, editing, and producing sales and marketing material is desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of Platform and Application Solutions.
  • Proficiency in proposal writing and project costing techniques.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (verbal and written).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an appreciation for process and quality.
  • Competence in reviewing and interpreting complex documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload effectively under strict deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and listening skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Good technical background in ICT Solutions.
  • Keen eye for detail and proofreading skills.
  • Good coordination and self-motivation skills are essential.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Word, MS Excel, and Visio.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires extensive interaction with internal teams and potentially with partner companies.
