alfanar, a leading Saudi-based company with extensive operations in construction, manufacturing, and design across the Middle East and internationally, is seeking a Branch Sales Manager, Wholesales. This full-time position in Riyadh is crucial for managing wholesale branch operations and driving business success. The role involves overseeing sales teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing inventory to meet sales targets.

Core Branch Operations and Sales Management

The Branch Sales Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of wholesale branch activities, ensuring operational efficiency and strategic alignment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting branch objectives and analyzing internal and external environments to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Activating sales activities and developing execution plans aligned with the company’s strategy.
  • Monitoring market variables and competitor movements, providing actionable insights.
  • Controlling branch expenses to enhance efficiency and managing credit facilities to minimize risk.
  • Maintaining regular communication with traders to gather feedback and provide solutions.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the branch's marketing plan.
  • Identifying and securing marketing tools for product displays, overseeing promotional gift distribution, and following up on after-sales service and customer complaints.
  • Overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage and delivery procedures.
  • Monitoring inventory and coordinating with the supply department to meet branch needs.
  • Organizing delivery routes to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensuring optimal management of branch resources and facilities, including monitoring fixed assets and company vehicles, and making decisions on repairs and maintenance.
  • Overseeing administrative matters, including time management, document storage, and compliance with company policies.

Leadership and Team Development

This role requires strong leadership to cultivate a high-performing team and foster a positive work environment. Key accountabilities include:

  • Recruiting, recognizing, and cultivating high performers, exposing them to create a robust second line of management.
  • Recognizing low performers and guiding them to improve or managing their release.
  • Treating subordinates equally without discrimination, assessing performance based on planned results.
  • Ensuring the availability of a delegation of authority matrix for sufficient delegations as per company policy.
  • Taking full responsibility for operations as per the job description and required deliverables, considering general company guidelines.
  • Anticipating problems and taking necessary proactive steps to prevent them, alongside making timely and proper decisions.

Strategic Planning and Business Improvement

The manager will play a pivotal role in translating corporate objectives into actionable business plans and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering required results in a timely manner with specified quality and cost.
  • Making a tangible difference to the area of operation and exceeding business expectations.
  • Transforming corporate goals into business plans, and planning, following up, and executing annual or development plans.
  • Monitoring plan performance, initiating action to strengthen results, and taking corrective action accordingly.
  • Providing periodic work progress reports and being responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
  • Developing the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans.
  • Ensuring the availability of job descriptions for all job roles and their deployment.
  • Developing and coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
  • Being conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, and promoting and fully utilizing automated systems.
  • Adapting to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
