Brokerage Operations Manager Saudi

About the Role

Alpaca is expanding its brokerage infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and is seeking a Brokerage Operations Manager – Saudi. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in brokerage and capital markets operations. The role focuses on building and scaling the local operating model from the ground up.

Role Context and Objectives

This is a hands-on role for an individual with a strong understanding of Saudi brokerage and capital markets operations. The manager will be responsible for establishing processes, developing procedures, and implementing controls and operational infrastructure to support Alpaca’s growing business in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will combine operational knowledge with a builder mindset, comfortable with creating new processes and operating within an evolving regulatory and business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate Alpaca’s Saudi brokerage operations function.
• Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs), operational controls, and escalation procedures for Saudi brokerage activities.
• Support day-to-day operations for Saudi equities, including trade lifecycle and post-trade operational workflows.
• Manage and oversee cash and money movement processes, including deposits, withdrawals, funding, settlement-related activity, reconciliations, and exceptions.
• Monitor daily operational activity and reporting, investigate breaks and exceptions, and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support operational processes involving Saudi market infrastructure, counterparties, banking partners, and other brokerage partners.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams to design scalable operational workflows.
• Establish appropriate operational controls, documentation, reporting, service levels, and escalation frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Support new product and market launches by defining operational requirements, controls, testing, and readiness procedures.
• Serve as an operational subject-matter expert for Saudi brokerage processes and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Support audits, regulatory requests, control testing, and other operational initiatives.
• Take ownership of new responsibilities and projects as the Saudi business grows.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in brokerage and capital markets operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of Saudi brokerage and capital markets operations.
• Ability to establish processes from the ground up and operate within an evolving regulatory and business environment.
• Strong operational knowledge combined with a builder mindset.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves close collaboration with Brokerage Operations leadership and various cross-functional teams within Alpaca.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role includes a competitive salary and stock options. Health benefits are provided, along with a one-time USD $500 new hire home-office setup allowance and a monthly stipend of USD $150 via a Brex Card.
