About DirectFN and the Business Analyst Role

DirectFN, now part of Saudi Tadawul Group / WAMID, is a prominent provider of Financial Technology software and content for the Capital Market Industry (CMI). The company specializes in delivering solutions for brokerage, asset, and custody management, alongside market information screens as productized services. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The Business Analyst serves as a critical link between client business stakeholders and internal technical teams. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into actionable insights and detailed specifications. The Business Analyst collaborates with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and UX/UI Designers to ensure that DirectFN's products align with market needs, customer expectations, and overall business objectives within the capital markets industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze objectives, and develop comprehensive requirements that align with company goals. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather in-depth insights into user needs, workflows, and preferences, utilizing samples and mock-ups. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Data Analysis & Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and user data to inform product development and strategic direction. Work with sales teams to define metrics, gather user insights, and assess product performance. Provide actionable insights based on data to influence product features, enhancements, and overall improvements.
  • Product Development Support: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements, timelines, and priorities. Assist in defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases to support the product development process. Participate in sprint planning and review sessions, addressing any clarifications needed on business requirements.
  • User Testing & Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans, identify key scenarios, and validate features against established requirements. Conduct user testing sessions, gather feedback, and ensure that outcomes align with business objectives. Track and resolve issues, suggesting solutions to enhance product functionality and user experience.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation: Develop and document standard operating procedures for business analysis and requirements gathering. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and ensure alignment across product teams. Maintain and update requirements documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Achieve a 95% accuracy rate in documented business requirements to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Contribute to timely project deliveries with a goal of completing 90% of projects within established timelines.
  • Attain user satisfaction scores of 85% or higher from user testing and feedback sessions.
  • Identify and implement at least two process improvements annually to enhance the efficiency of the business analysis workflow.
  • Maintain a stakeholder engagement rating of 90% or higher, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Required Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably within the Capital Market Industry or Financial Technology sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into clear specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in market research and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications and process flows.
