The Role of Business Development Consultant, Cargo Charters

Chapman Freeborn is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant, Cargo Charters to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on identifying and securing business opportunities across all Chapman Freeborn products, building client relationships, and developing new business within the cargo sales sector in KSA. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and secure business opportunities across all Chapman Freeborn products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to achieve business objectives.
• Generate and manage a client portfolio, actively developing new business through lead follow-up, client recommendations, and networking.
• Develop cargo sales and implement related business objectives across KSA in line with company goals.
• Identify new potential areas for business development and stay informed on competitor activity.
• Work in accordance with agreed group sales and operations strategies.
• Partner with local broker departments, providing relevant information and support throughout the brokering process.
• Liaise with clients to identify requirements and source suitable, competitive aircraft charter solutions.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key clients and new business leads to maximize opportunities and increase client loyalty.
• Contact airlines to confirm weekend availability and communicate this information to colleagues and other airlines to maximize sales.
• Record all pertinent customer prospect information and sales activity in the CRM System in a timely manner, as defined by the Regional Business Development Manager.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in business development, preferably within cargo charters or a related aviation field.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
• Proficiency in managing a client portfolio and developing new leads.
• Understanding of sales and operations strategies.
• Ability to liaise effectively with clients and airlines.
• Experience with CRM systems for recording customer information and sales activities.
