Job Description

About the Role

Tabby is seeking a Business Development Executive to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on merchant acquisition for the company's BNPL platform, specifically targeting the SME sector. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, involving end-to-end ownership of the sales cycle from lead generation to merchant activation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage a sales pipeline through outbound activities, utilizing provided tools and prospect lists.
  • Research and identify high-potential SME merchants, verticals, and micro-markets.
  • Engage with business owners, founders, and key decision-makers through cold calling, multi-channel outreach, field visits, and meetings.
  • Conduct consultative discovery sessions to understand merchant needs and present financial solutions.
  • Pitch and sell BNPL, LTF, and other merchant financial solutions, including product demos and commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within approved frameworks and secure internal approvals.
  • Manage the onboarding process and ensure full activation and adoption of services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Risk, Scoring, Onboarding, Product, and Operations to resolve blockers and gather market insights.
  • Become a subject-matter expert on Tabby's products and adapt to new propositions as they launch.

Pipeline Management and Sales Execution

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for building a robust pipeline from scratch, with no reliance on inbound leads. This includes identifying and engaging high-potential SME merchants, executing high-volume outreach, and consistently generating qualified opportunities. The role requires maintaining a healthy sales funnel, tracking KPIs, and optimizing conversion rates using CRM and sales data.

Commercial Acumen and Negotiation

This position involves leading commercial discussions with SME merchants, articulating clear value propositions, and negotiating terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. The executive will be responsible for securing necessary internal approvals and escalating complex commercial matters while maintaining ownership of the opportunity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Merchant Experience

The role requires close collaboration with various internal departments to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and activation. The executive will act as a liaison between merchants and internal stakeholders, proactively addressing issues, capturing feedback, and feeding market intelligence back into the business. A focus on ensuring a positive merchant experience and driving post-go-live adoption is essential.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated capability in outbound sales and pipeline generation.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to activation.
  • Adaptability to evolving products, processes, and market conditions.

Requirements

  • Requires 5-10 Years experience
