About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a Business Process Monitoring & Improvement Director to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading initiatives to enhance organizational excellence through effective business process management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the Organizational Excellence business plan, ensuring alignment with ZATCA's overall strategy.
  • Develop and implement the operational plan for Business Process Monitoring & Improvement, supporting strategic goals.
  • Manage the budget for Business Process Monitoring & Improvement, ensuring effective utilization and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee the revision and communication of guidelines and templates for business process development, based on requirements and leading practices.
  • Coordinate with the IT & Digitization function to update and improve Business Process Analysis (BPA) based on business needs.
  • Manage the development of prioritized process documentation plans and ensure alignment with policies, regulations, and other functions' input.
  • Review and approve process manuals to ensure quality and adherence to requirements.
  • Manage the development and implementation of process improvement plans based on assessment results.
  • Review Business Process Management (BPM) maturity levels, enforce corrective actions, and manage the development of SLAs and KPIs for all processes.
  • Monitor adherence of processes with set SLAs and KPIs and develop process documentation plans to achieve required results.
  • Ensure technical findings are communicated to the BIC vendor and monitor the implementation of technical updates.
  • Build internal capabilities in business processes through awareness and training, and strengthen knowledge through coordination with national and international BPM firms.

People Management

  • Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent.
  • Guide, mentor, and support direct reports in executing duties according to established policies and processes.
  • Develop individual performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate team performance, and offer regular feedback.
  • Establish a high-performance working environment and promote ZATCA values.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • The role requires the ability to conduct independent research, collect and analyze information, and draft reports and documents.
  • Experience in undertaking operational activities, including internal assessment and benchmarking of policies against best practices and international standards, is essential.
  • Ability to track adherence of developed policies with set SLAs and KPIs.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. The role involves working independently on specific tasks while contributing to broader organizational goals.
