About the Role
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Chairman Cyclotron & Radiopharmaceuticals. This full-time position involves leading initiatives related to cyclotron technology and radiopharmaceutical production, ensuring adherence to international guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role is based in Riyadh and requires extensive experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the production of cyclotron and reactor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
- Manage Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes for radiopharmaceuticals, meeting international regulatory standards.
- Prepare and review scientific reports and documentation to fulfill radiopharmaceutical and radiation protection regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and validation of novel radiolabeled theranostic agents through pre-clinical studies, and advance cyclotron technology.
- Provide expert knowledge and guidance on the safety and efficacy of new radiopharmaceuticals for clinical use.
- Participate in research projects with clinicians, academic partners, and external contract research and development organizations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent in a scientific discipline with a strong background in cyclotron and radiopharmaceuticals from an accredited university/institution is required.
- Experience: Twelve (12) years of post-doctorate research experience as an independent professional, including at least five (5) years of extensive administrative or supervisory experience.
- Research Productivity: Demonstrated research productivity through publications in reputable, relevant peer-reviewed journals.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of radiopharmaceutical production according to international GMP guidelines.
- Proficiency in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) of radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to international regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to write and review scientific reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Strong background in the development and validation of novel radiolabeled theranostic agents and cyclotron technology.
- Ability to provide expert guidance on the safety and efficacy of new clinical radiopharmaceuticals.
- Capacity to collaborate on research projects with various partners.

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
