CIVIL D MODELER (WET UTILITIES)

About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking a Civil 3D Modeler – Wet Utilities to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position supports major infrastructure and mega projects across Saudi Arabia, focusing on road and utility developments. The role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves developing, updating, and coordinating BIM models for wet utility networks in compliance with project BIM standards and industry best practices.

Role Context and Purpose

The Civil 3D Modeler will be responsible for the precise modeling of wet utility systems, including stormwater, sewer, potable water, irrigation, and drainage. This role is critical for ensuring that all utility models are accurately developed, coordinated with other disciplines, and meet project specifications and local authority requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to the successful execution of complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for wet utility systems using Civil 3D and related BIM software.
• Prepare utility layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Create and maintain coordinated BIM models in accordance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
• Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation from BIM models.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including roads, structures, and dry utilities disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and support model coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Ensure models comply with project specifications, standards, and local authority requirements.
• Extract quantities and support quantity take-offs from BIM models.
• Maintain records of issued drawings, models, RFIs, and coordination reports.
• Support construction and engineering teams with model updates and revisions.
• Follow company QHSE policies and BIM/VDC standards throughout project execution.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Civil 3D modeling, specifically with wet utilities.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating BIM models for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant BIM software.
• Experience with clash detection and model coordination tools such as Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and industry best practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with various engineering and construction disciplines on significant infrastructure projects.
