The Role of Civil Inspector

Egis is seeking a Civil Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for ensuring that construction projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The Civil Inspector will conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, verify adherence to specifications and contract documents, and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical approach, along with collaborative engagement with stakeholders to deliver project results.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions before construction to confirm compatibility with designed permanent works and identify potential obstructions or conflicts.
• Document and record the condition of existing properties, utilities, and structures that may be affected by construction activities, including photographic evidence.
• Ensure adequate protection of existing structures, properties, utilities, and landscaping throughout the construction period.
• Review delivered materials, equipment, and products for compliance with approved submittals, samples, and specifications, reporting any non-conformance promptly.
• Verify proper handling, storage, and protection of all materials in accordance with specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect temporary and permanent works to ensure construction complies with Contract Documents, approved shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Prepare and maintain daily site logs, inspection reports, test records, and comprehensive documentation of executed work as per Contract Administration Procedures.
• Monitor site safety practices and construction progress, reporting any safety concerns or deviations to relevant parties in a timely manner.
• Assist in the inspection of completed works and the preparation of punch lists for final handover.
• Monitor and support start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Analyze construction progress against project schedules and specifications to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to resolve construction-related issues and maintain project momentum.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager to support project objectives.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant civil inspection capacity. This position is open to Saudi Nationals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative approach to project execution and communication with all stakeholders.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on construction sites and collaborating with various project teams and external parties.
