About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Inspector for a Stadium Project, specializing in structural assessments. This full-time role requires a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on bridges and structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, evaluating structural integrity, and providing detailed reports on the condition of structures and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized inspections of bridges and related structures to assess their structural integrity and safety.
• Utilize various inspection methods, including visual assessments, non-destructive testing, and instrumentation, to evaluate the condition of structural components.
• Document and record detailed findings during inspections, including any signs of deterioration, damage, or potential hazards.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports outlining the condition of the structure, the severity of identified issues, and recommendations for maintenance or repairs.

Collaboration and Technical Guidance

• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze inspection data and develop repair and maintenance plans for bridges and associated structures.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior inspectors or engineering staff involved in structural inspections.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure inspection activities are coordinated effectively and project timelines are met.
• Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other relevant parties to communicate inspection findings and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on bridges and structures.
• Proven experience in structural assessments and inspections.
• A keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of structural engineering principles.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
