About the Role

WSP is seeking a Commissioning Engineer-Mechanical_Power Plant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on providing technical expertise in power plant projects. The role involves reviewing contractor documentation, attending inspections, and proactively addressing potential issues based on prior testing experience.

Role Context and Impact

The Commissioning Engineer will contribute to various projects, specifically those involving Open/Close Cycle Gas Turbines. This position requires a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve issues, ensuring the smooth integration of project interfaces into a cohesive system. The engineer will play a key role in maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the testing and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise by reviewing contractor’s plans, procedures, and logic sequences.
• Attend and approve various inspections and tests.
• Adopt a proactive approach to anticipate issues based on past Testing & Commissioning experience.
• Demonstrate proven experience in working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Witness key testing hold points and maintain a dashboard of progress onsite for different stages of testing.
• Maintain continuous coordination efforts to integrate all project interfaces into a cohesive system.
• Review Contractor/OEM commissioning procedures and commissioning test reports.
• Review PT procedures and performance test calculations.
• Perform independent calculations to verify OEM data.
• Supervise and witness commissioning activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in Open/Close Cycle Gas Turbine projects is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders in complex environments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on landmark projects and collaborating with diverse teams to achieve project objectives.
