Compliance Officer

About the Role

AB Specialized Contracting Co. (ABSP) is seeking a Compliance Officer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience, specifically within the contracting and construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong practical knowledge of compliance, strategic planning, performance management, and the implementation of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Role Context and Contribution

This position is central to developing, implementing, and monitoring the company’s compliance framework. The Compliance Officer will also contribute to strategic planning and organizational performance management. The role requires a hands-on approach, translating policies, strategic objectives, and performance indicators into measurable actions and ensuring their effective implementation and follow-up. The successful candidate will move beyond routine reporting to drive practical application of compliance and performance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, internal controls, and approved governance requirements.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and identify areas of non-compliance.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions until proper closure.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports, observations, recommendations, and management updates.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of internal policies, procedures, controls, and compliance processes.
• Identify and assess compliance risks and support the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure effective implementation of compliance requirements.
• Translate strategic objectives into measurable initiatives and performance indicators.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Balanced Scorecards (BSC) at company and departmental levels.
• Develop, review, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Analyze performance results, identify gaps and deviations, and follow up on improvement plans.
• Prepare management reports, performance dashboards, and analytical reports to support decision-making.
• Follow up on strategic initiatives and departmental action plans to ensure timely and effective implementation.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities for data analysis, performance tracking, reporting, and dashboard preparation.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a compliance role.
• Demonstrated experience within the contracting and construction sector.
• Solid practical knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations.
• Proficiency in strategic planning and performance management methodologies.
• Experience with Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) implementation and monitoring.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
