About the Opportunity

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Consultant Lighting Designer to join its Innovation Lighting Design Studio within the Property & Buildings Business Unit. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The Consultant Lighting Designer will contribute to projects that leverage lighting to transform spaces. This role involves working on advanced design initiatives and collaborating with a team of designers and engineers within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive lighting designs, including sketches, graphical drawings, specifications, design reports, and mock-ups.
• Lead projects through all stages, managing budgets, timelines, and technical documentation.
• Apply knowledge of lighting standards, software such as DIALux, AGI32, and Revit, and control systems.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering presentations and managing design expectations.
• Conduct on-site inspections, coordinate with contractors, and manage the implementation of lighting designs.
• Stay updated on market trends, sustainable practices, and new technology, sharing knowledge with the team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in lighting design.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in lighting standards and control systems.
• Proficiency in relevant lighting design software, including DIALux, AGI32, and Revit.
• Experience in project management, client communication, and site coordination.

Work Setting

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within WSP's Innovation Lighting Design Studio. The position involves working as part of the Property & Buildings Business Unit, collaborating with a diverse team of designers and engineers.
