Elm is seeking a Consultant to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is integral to driving technology strategy and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

Role Overview

The Consultant drives technology strategy, governance, and operational excellence by translating business objectives into clear technology priorities and strategic roadmaps. This role ensures that strategic initiatives and projects align with corporate strategy, enterprise architecture, governance frameworks, and business priorities. Key responsibilities include optimizing technology investments, evaluating emerging technologies, and providing effective portfolio governance, performance monitoring, risk and change management, and executive reporting. The Consultant also drives continuous improvement to ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business value and sustainable organizational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the Technology Strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and corporate objectives, and periodically updating it based on needs and trends.
  • Evaluate and prioritize strategic initiatives and investments based on business value, alignment, urgency, and expected benefits, identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization.
  • Ensure technology initiatives comply with Enterprise Architecture principles and standards, assessing emerging technologies for suitability, value, and risk, and identifying opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Define and monitor strategic KPIs, initiative progress, and benefits realization, preparing dashboards and reports to provide data-driven insights for executive decision-making.
  • Establish and monitor project planning baselines, including scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, RAG status, milestones, and KPIs against approved baselines, consolidating information into portfolio health dashboards.
  • Manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID), ensuring mitigation actions are implemented and controlling changes to project scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of technology governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures, monitoring adherence across all initiatives.
  • Assess technology planning, governance, portfolio, and project management practices against industry standards, identifying gaps and developing improvement action plans.
  • Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, safety, quality, environmental, and information security standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications related to technology disciplines are considered an advantage.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 4–6 years of experience in technology strategy, strategic initiatives, technology planning, innovation, or related roles. This includes experience in strategic planning, project delivery, portfolio management, technology governance, performance monitoring, innovation initiatives, and cross-functional technology environments.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, focusing on strategic technology initiatives within a dynamic organizational setting. The salary for this position will be discussed during the interview process.
