About the Role: Core Banking Architect

Deloitte is seeking a Core Banking Architect to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience, with a focus on defining and governing banking architecture. The architect will ensure alignment with business and regulatory needs, driving the adoption of modern architecture principles within core banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the end-to-end banking architecture blueprint, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Promote and implement modern architecture principles such as cloud-native, microservices-based, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
• Provide architecture governance across solution design, integration, infrastructure, and data flows.
• Collaborate with CxOs, technology leads, and delivery teams to influence roadmap and architectural decisions.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, availability, and performance standards.
• Lead technical solutioning for Temenos Transact implementations (TAFJ/TAFC, Design Studio, AA, APIs).
• Define and validate designs for Temenos modules including Customer, Accounts, Lending, Deposits, GL, and AA.
• Ensure optimal use of Temenos Integration Framework (TIF), API Gateway, and Data Framework.
• Provide architectural guidance on Temenos configuration, customizations, extensions, and upgrades.
• Ensure Temenos deployments align with bank-wide architecture strategy, including cloud, containers, and security.
• Lead architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, and technical deep dives with vendors and client teams.
• Oversee architecture documentation, integration specifications, and platform infrastructure plans.
• Manage dependencies across various systems, including digital channels, CRM, payments, AML, and GL.
• Guide teams on performance tuning, failover, disaster recovery, and data integrity architecture.
• Support DevSecOps alignment and automation strategy for core banking and surrounding systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in banking technology, with at least 5 years as a core banking architect.
• Deep hands-on experience with Temenos platforms, specifically Transact, Design Studio, Integration Framework, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of modern banking architecture principles: cloud-native, microservices, containers, APIs, and event-driven design.
• Proven track record of leading architecture design and governance for large-scale banking programs.
• Temenos certifications (Architect / Technical) are strongly preferred.
• Exposure to other core banking platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with Temenos AA, TDS, and reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulatory and security requirements in banking (*, data residency, PCI-DSS).
• Experience in the Middle East or other regulated banking markets.
