The Role of Cost Control Engineer

CSI Global is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join its Head Office team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves managing budgets, cost reporting, and forecasting for Construction, Facilities Management, and Electrical Testing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining project cost control, identifying commercial and cost risks, and providing accurate, timely cost visibility to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost breakdown structures (CBS), and cost control systems in coordination with project and commercial teams.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals, forecasts, and budget variances, ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting.
• Track subcontracts, purchase orders, material costs, manpower, equipment, and project expenses against approved budgets.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, EAC/ETC, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
• Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, and Project teams to ensure proper cost allocation and financial reporting.
• Monitor variation orders (VOs), claims, and potential cost impacts, providing timely analysis and highlighting commercial and cost risks to management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant cost control role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and cost reporting.
• Proficiency in cost control systems and financial analysis.
