Cyber Threat Resident Expert

About the Role

Cipher is seeking a Cyber Threat Resident Expert to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on ensuring robust cybersecurity operations and compliance within the organization's IT environment. The expert will play a critical role in monitoring threats, managing incidents, and maintaining security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure IT and cybersecurity operations adhere to internal policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct regular cybersecurity control assessments, maintain compliance evidence, and track the remediation of identified findings.
• Monitor vulnerability assessment and penetration testing findings, prioritize associated risks, and follow up on remediation efforts.
• Monitor cybersecurity threat advisories and coordinate recommended actions with relevant internal teams.
• Maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation procedures to ensure preparedness.
• Coordinate cybersecurity incidents with the Security Operations Center (SOC) provider and support incident reviews and lessons learned processes.
• Review IT changes and new projects to identify potential cybersecurity risks and define necessary security requirements.
• Coordinate user and privileged access reviews and follow up on findings from security tools.
• Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including the execution of phishing simulation campaigns.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly cybersecurity reports and provide support for audit activities.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat management, compliance, and incident response.
