The Role of Database Administrator / Application Technical Specialist

Assystem Radicon is seeking a Database Administrator / Application Technical Specialist with over 10 years of experience to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves supporting authorized databases and application components, ensuring system stability, performance, and compliance. The specialist will work across various environments, coordinating with client and platform teams to maintain critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support authorized databases and application components, including job scheduling, performance monitoring, and capacity management.
• Assist with patch implementation, application deployments, backup validation, and recovery exercises in coordination with client and platform teams.
• Provide implementation, testing, and validation evidence across Development, Testing, UAT, Staging, and Production environments, as applicable.
• Coordinate capacity assessments and performance reviews to ensure system stability and scalability.
• Support security and access reviews in accordance with approved governance and compliance requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and validation of patches, hotfixes, service packs, and minor application upgrades.
• Participate in and document backup restoration and disaster recovery testing activities.
• Maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, operational procedures, changes, and recovery processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in database and application technologies supporting ArcGIS Enterprise, reporting, integrations, content management, and custom applications.
• Demonstrated experience in system monitoring, scheduled job management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Experience supporting application/database patching, hotfixes, service packs, and minor upgrades.
• Knowledge of backup validation, recovery testing, and disaster recovery processes.
• Ability to provide operational and deployment evidence across Development, Testing, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.
• Experience with security, access control, and configuration management activities.
• Clear understanding of the distinction between administration of managed SaaS platforms and hands-on ownership of databases, servers, infrastructure, and application environments under direct control.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a professional engineering and technical services environment focused on critical infrastructure and energy transition projects.
