The Role: Databricks Developer

2P Perfect Presentation is seeking an experienced Databricks Developer to build and maintain data platforms for enterprise and government solutions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing and operating scalable data pipelines on Databricks, as well as contributing to React front-end applications that present data through dashboards, reporting views, and data-management interfaces. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines on Databricks using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Implement medallion architectures across bronze, silver, and gold layers for batch and streaming workloads.
• Develop and maintain Databricks notebooks, jobs, and workflows.
• Configure and manage clusters, job orchestration, and workload execution.
• Integrate data from SQL Server databases, APIs, file feeds, and third-party enterprise systems.
• Optimize Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data-quality checks, pipeline monitoring, logging, and fault handling.
• Build and maintain React components that present data products to users.
• Integrate React applications with REST APIs and back-end services.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and QA teams throughout design, code review, testing, release, and production support.
• Troubleshoot data-pipeline and application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Follow applicable data-security, governance, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks, or equivalent AWS or Google Cloud services.
• Experience integrating data across enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Structured Streaming, Kafka, Event Hubs, or similar streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Understanding of data security and compliance requirements in enterprise or government environments.
• Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification.
• TypeScript development experience alongside React.
