Alogayell Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly experienced Design Manager / Design Lead Architecture to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading architectural projects from initial concept development through to detailed design and final client submission.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and guiding the architectural vision for diverse projects. This position requires a professional who can personally develop designs, lead a team, and ensure projects meet both aesthetic and technical standards, including compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the architectural concept, design vision, and overall design direction for projects.
• Personally develop and refine architectural designs from Concept through Detailed Design stages.
• Lead and manage the architectural design team, providing clear design direction and technical guidance.
• Review and control the quality of drawings, BIM models, presentations, and all design deliverables.
• Coordinate architectural design effectively with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, and other relevant disciplines.
• Lead client presentations, design reviews, and design development meetings.
• Ensure all designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other applicable building codes, regulations, standards, and authority requirements in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia.
• Review designs for constructability, functionality, detailing, materials, and execution requirements.
• Oversee the design process from initial concept to a fully coordinated detailed design package ready for client submission.
• Ensure the final design maintains the original architectural vision while meeting all technical and construction requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in architectural design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level conceptual and architectural design capability.
• Proven experience leading projects from concept to detailed design.
• Demonstrated experience in actual construction and project execution, with a strong understanding of how designs are translated into built projects.
• Experience in villas, residential buildings, commercial developments, and/or mixed-use projects.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring architectural design teams.
• Previous experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other applicable building codes, regulations, standards, and local authority requirements in Riyadh.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, architectural detailing, and buildability.
