Dietary Aide (DA) Casual Eaux Claires

About the Role

Extendicare is seeking a Dietary Aide (DA) for a casual, part-time position at its Eaux Claires facility. This role is based in Al Mithab, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves supporting the dietary department to ensure residents receive meals prepared and served according to established standards and individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food to residents in accordance with their individual dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring meals are served within specified time limits and at correct temperatures.
• Assist Cooks with the cleaning and preparation of uncooked food items such as salads, vegetables, and fruits.
• Follow basic instructions for preparing simple food items, including breakfast dishes, basic desserts, and garnishes.
• Clear plates and trays, then load and operate the dishwasher. Clean pots, pans, and cooking utensils following established procedures.
• Participate in the proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including any leftovers.
• Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures related to quality assurance, fire safety, environmental standards, and infection control.
• Assemble nourishment carts and stock unit kitchenettes as required.
• Attend facility meetings and participate in in-service education programs when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English, along with the ability to understand simple verbal and written instructions in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to established safety practices and procedures.
• Capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting.
• Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Work Environment

This is a casual, part-time position within a healthcare facility, requiring flexibility to work various shifts to support resident dietary needs. The role involves physical activity, including standing for long periods and moderate to heavy lifting.
