About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Director Country Head of Site Operations to lead its full-time operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This senior client-facing role is accountable for achieving all financial targets and key performance indicators for the assigned in-country business unit, contributing to the wider goals of the Site Operations business. The role involves developing a regionally aligned in-country strategy to drive growth, maximize revenue, and enhance critical client relationships, while also maintaining and improving QHSE standards and managing sustainable business growth. The Country Head of Site Operations reports on performance via monthly and quarterly updates.

Service Delivery and Business Development

• Produce a country-level business plan for the business unit for review and sign-off by the Regional Site Operations Director.
• Manage and take ownership of all fee proposals in conjunction with the bidding and commercial/legal team.
• Attend all bid/no bid meetings and stage gate presentations, making decisions with due consideration for the business plan.
• Act as the lead for projects when required and manage the CRM system to ensure it is up to date and accurately represents the business.
• Liaise with existing clients to understand their current and future business needs, and develop plans for exploring new client opportunities.
• Lead marketing and sales pipeline activities in line with Group and Middle East strategy, working closely with regional sector teams and local business units.
• Deliver, meet, and exceed business performance targets, driving commercial robustness and governance.
• Identify, manage, and reduce risk to the business.
• Provide thought-leadership for key client relationships, developing and improving business relationships with customers, stakeholders, and within the global organization.
• Actively participate and influence the market as an Executive.

Financial Management

• Manage the P&L for the country business unit.
• Produce the annual invoice tracker illustrating revenue forecast against budget for all live and prospective opportunities, including internal trade.
• Manage debtors and actively pursue receipt of all fees.
• Produce and maintain utilization trackers in line with agreed targets.
• Hold regular meetings with the Regional Head of Site Operations and the Managing Directors Office to report on invoicing against budget targets and take necessary action.
• Monitor and report on productivity against target, and manage CTCs and PSRs.
• Participate in monthly CTC meetings, business performance discussions with Regional Directors and Finance, and project review board meetings.
• Achieve growth and financial metrics including headcount, productivity, revenue, cash collection, and EBIT targets.
• Collaborate with the wider AtkinsRéalis business and other Country Leads to assist in achieving combined regional goals and managing service delivery.
• Ensure formal awards are closed out promptly and projects are correctly set up on iGATE, complying with agreed processes and procedures.

People Leadership and Development

• Implement any changes to the organizational structure necessary to support the business plan.
• Attract, retain, and promote talent, providing career progression opportunities to grow the business.
• Manage new recruitment requirements, conduct interviews, and make offer recommendations in line with DOAs.
• Organize and manage line management meetings and their outcomes.
• Ensure staff comply with AtkinsRéalis compulsory training and address disciplinary issues in collaboration with HR and Regional Directors.
• Set career and PDR objectives that align with individual, office, and wider business requirements.
• Manage the career development of all staff, including promotion recommendations, and contribute to annual pay and discretionary bonus discussions.
• Mentor and develop staff, coordinate the local APC system, and conduct succession planning to identify key talent.
• Hold monthly team meetings to encourage communication and development, and contribute to regional monthly meetings.
• Achieve diversification targets, including increasing female workers and 'National' employee targets (applicable to Oman, KSA, UAE, Qatar).
• Ensure all staff CVs are updated monthly and uploaded to the system for use in bids.

Required Qualifications

• A post-graduate degree and professional qualifications.
• Demonstrable success with over 10 years of experience in design, project management, project delivery, or engineering, with a strong understanding and appreciation of Design & Engineering.
• Cultural awareness with strong relationship-building, influencing skills, and agility across diverse relationships, ethnicities, situations, and cultures.
