Director Procurement Contracting

About the Role

Team Saudi is seeking a Director Procurement Contracting to lead the procurement contracting department. This contract position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves managing the entire contract lifecycle to ensure business needs are met, value for money is achieved, and organizational interests are protected. The role requires building strong stakeholder relationships and improving contracting processes through clear policies, procedures, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead contract planning in collaboration with Procurement and requesting departments, including the selection of suitable contract types and commercial terms.
• Oversee contract drafting and review to ensure clarity in scope, deliverables, prices, payment terms, timelines, and responsibilities.
• Ensure all contracts undergo necessary reviews and approvals before signature and commencement of work.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and business teams to identify contract risks and establish appropriate controls.
• Monitor contract obligations, key dates, supplier performance, and agreed service levels with contract owners.
• Oversee contract changes, extensions, renewals, and terminations, ensuring proper justification, review, and approval.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and coordinate legal terms with the Legal department.
• Oversee contract closure, including confirmation of completed obligations and coordination of final settlements with Finance and contract owners.
• Maintain standard contract templates and clauses in conjunction with Legal, and manage a complete, secure, and current contract register.
• Ensure contracting practices comply with applicable local and international procurement laws and regulations, internal policies, and relevant global practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in procurement and contracting.
