About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to ensuring the continuous operation and optimal maintenance of all electrical facilities, utilities, and equipment within the hospital complex. The Electrical Engineer will address day-to-day operational challenges to maintain physical plant facilities and all electrical and electronic equipment in excellent condition, adhering strictly to international standards and established hospital policies and procedures.

Key Functions

• Perform repair and maintenance on existing electrical equipment.
• Conduct repair and maintenance for existing electrical installations and electronics equipment across buildings and utilities.
• Execute equipment inspections and develop maintenance plans.
• Oversee utilities generation and distribution.
• Implement alterations to existing equipment and building installations.
• Install new equipment as required.

Major Duties and Operational Oversight

• Ensure all electrical installations are maintained and comply with proper standards.
• Formulate various maintenance programs and procedures for all electrical and electronics equipment and utilities within the hospital complex.
• Administer and supervise the daily activities of electrical and electronics technicians in performing their assigned duties.
• Implement all formulated maintenance programs, ensuring schedules are followed and documented.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical electrical facilities, including: Emergency power generation/supply system, Switchgears and power substations, Motor control centers/panels, Lightings and power distribution panels, UPS and battery banks, and all electrical equipment such as Electric motors, Electric steam boilers, Electric heaters, lighting system, Elevators, electrically operated doors, and all other electrically generated equipment.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Electronics and Telecommunications equipment, including: PABX and telephone system, MATV system, Paging and Nurse Call system, Public address system, Fire Alarm system, and all electronics controlled equipment.
• Formulate monitoring systems for all equipment used by technicians during check-ups or inspections.
• Conduct design, material estimates, and supervision for any renovation or modification projects within the hospital complex.
• Oversee the acquisition of consumables and spare parts materials.
• Submit monthly reports as required by management.
• Adhere to all department policies and procedures of the hospital.
• Participate in ongoing educational programs developed by the department, such as Department policy and procedures, Fire Safety, Risk Management, and Environmental control.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the management.

Reporting Structure and Supervision

The Electrical Engineer reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. This role involves direct supervision of a team of technical staff, ensuring efficient execution of maintenance and operational tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, particularly within facilities operation and maintenance, preferably in a hospital or similar complex environment.
