Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of the King Salman International Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This state-of-the-art airport is designed to handle up to 120 million travelers by 2030 and 185 million by 2050, with a cargo capacity of up to million tons by 2050. Bechtel's PMC services encompass three new terminals: Terminal 6, an Iconic Terminal, and a Private Aviation Terminal.

The Role of Electrical Field Engineer

Bechtel is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to join the Project Field Engineering (PFE) group in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience. The Electrical Field Engineer will work under the guidance of the Lead Electrical Field Engineer, supporting various field engineering activities. The primary objective is to ensure that all field engineering operations are conducted safely, are completed to specification, and conform to established quality standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the lead discipline engineer in coordinating technical resolution and ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure all works are executed according to drawings, specifications, and standards, adhere to the project schedule, and comply with ES&H plans, quality standards, and local/national regulatory safety codes.
  • Support and coordinate across disciplines and with the Engineering department to provide timely and accurate information to Construction teams.
  • Monitor the contractor’s work for compliance, and report on project status, schedule adherence, and change management systems.
  • Provide site-based technical coordination with contractors, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders, assisting the Lead Engineer.
  • Contribute to ensuring continuous construction work front availability by reviewing look-ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules, and other service requirements, including contractor submittals.
  • Verify compliance with all Permit and License requirements relevant to electrical works.
  • Organize meetings as requested by the lead engineer, minute discussions, follow up on actions, and report outcomes.
  • Assist and provide feedback on contractor's submittals, technical queries, Field Change Documents, and other technical documents, including Drawings and As-Builts.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment on site fully comply with international standards and technical specification requirements.
  • Ensure the systematic and complete closure of the project in all respects related to the electrical discipline.
  • Maintain effective relationships with other functional departments and coordinate all jobsite contractual activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor interfaces with other contractors and review Contractors' meeting notes and daily reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an international equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
