ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY ASSISTANT

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking an Electrocardiography Assistant. This full-time role involves contributing to a safe and proper testing environment within the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, wards, Emergency Room, and other required areas. The assistant is responsible for patient preparation, equipment handling, and recording basic clinical measurements and electrocardiograms.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in providing safe patient care, communicating appropriately with patients, families, and healthcare team members, while demonstrating respect and dignity.
• Assist in preparing clinical equipment for patient exams, ensuring correct and safe operation, and implementing troubleshooting measures as needed.
• Orient and prepare patients for procedures, remaining with them during and after as required, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Measure and record basic, routine clinical measurements, 12-lead ECGs, and rhythm strips according to policy, and report abnormal readings to senior staff.
• Prepare reports for physician review, document, download, store, retrieve, and edit relevant information accurately and timely, and distribute documents as required.
• Clean, disinfect, and store clinical equipment and accessories, monitor equipment, and report hazards or repair needs to the Senior Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Assist in maintaining stocked rooms, informing the Senior Cardiovascular Technologist when supplies are low, and helping with receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and uncluttered working environment, reporting maintenance needs and safety/security issues to senior staff or management.
• Assist with reception duties, respond to phone inquiries, take messages, and provide Arabic translation for non-Arabic staff as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to achieving clinical quality outcome indicators, including patient satisfaction and service efficiency.
• Adhere to all Hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.

• Experience required: 0-1 years.

The Electrocardiography Assistant will work in various clinical settings including the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, hospital wards, and the Emergency Room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patient testing.
