Energy and Utilities Specialist

About the Role

Ninja is seeking an experienced Energy and Utilities Specialist to manage and optimize electricity and water consumption across its stores and facilities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and focuses on enhancing energy efficiency, monitoring utility performance, and implementing engineering improvements. The role aims to deliver measurable cost savings through energy audits and IoT-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor electricity and water consumption, establish baselines, and track utility costs across all stores and facilities.
• Conduct energy audits to identify high-consumption locations and areas of energy loss.
• Identify and coordinate energy-efficiency improvements across various systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, insulation, and operational systems.
• Support the installation, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of IoT energy meters, sensors, and LoRaWAN gateways.
• Coordinate utility meter mapping, validate invoices, and investigate consumption discrepancies.
• Evaluate energy-saving projects, preparing technical and financial assessments that include estimated savings and payback periods.
• Track and validate achieved energy savings against approved baselines.
• Prepare monthly dashboards and reports detailing energy consumption and performance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Procurement, and Technology teams to achieve energy management objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in energy management, utility monitoring, or energy auditing.
• Hands-on experience with IoT devices, including LoRaWAN gateways, sensors, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and energy-efficient controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and Power Query.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in multisite retail, supermarkets, warehouses, or cold-chain operations is preferred.
