About the Technical Support Engineer Role

Alfanar is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves providing essential technical assistance to customers and internal teams. The role is crucial for ensuring system functionality, supporting project execution, and resolving technical issues.

Core Responsibilities

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical assistance and solutions. This includes troubleshooting issues, supporting product commissioning, and ensuring the proper functionality of systems. The role also serves as a key technical liaison for resolving warranty claims and supporting project execution.

Functional Duties

  • Warranty Claims Support: Diagnose technical issues related to warranty claims and propose solutions. Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams for effective claim resolution.
  • Field Commissioning Assistance: Support the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems during field commissioning. Ensure systems meet project specifications and compliance standards. Document and assist in resolving commissioning issues.
  • Project Engineering Support: Assist project teams with technical tasks, problem-solving, and the delivery of engineering services. Aid in the preparation of accurate technical documentation.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain organized records of engineering activities, including test results, warranty resolutions, and commissioning logs. Support the preparation and review of technical reports.
  • Learning and Development: Seek mentorship from senior engineers and participate in relevant training programs. Contribute to improving engineering workflows and processes.

General Operational Duties

  • Delivery: Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules. Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within cost and time constraints. Provide periodic reports detailing task execution and deviations.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve related problems as they arise, escalating complex operational issues when necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality requirements are met by developing effective quality control processes and specifications for products, processes, and related activities.
  • Business Process Improvements: Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures. Identify and pursue opportunities for automation.
  • Compliance: Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined work area to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. The role requires the ability to acquire updated soft and technical skills pertinent to the job.
