About Mozn and the Engineering Manager Role

Mozn is an Enterprise AI company specializing in Financial Crime Prevention and Enterprise Knowledge Intelligence. We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading a team of engineers focused on building and scaling Focal, with an emphasis on innovation, reliability, and delivering impactful solutions for our customers.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of product features.
• Ensure that code and design quality adhere to industry best practices and established standards.
• Coach and mentor team members on high-level design, architecture, effort sizing, and testing practices.
• Provide constructive feedback to engineers regarding their day-to-day job performance.
• Guide engineers in their individual learning and development plans.
• Initiate hiring processes and allocate necessary resources to support the team's objectives.
• Identify and remove impediments, or guide the team in resolving them.
• Oversee the implementation and adherence to the software development process.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with a preference for backgrounds in SaaS or large-scale distributed applications.
• Demonstrated previous experience in a team leadership role.

Technical Competencies

• Solid experience across multiple programming languages, coupled with a drive for continuous technical skill development.
• Proficient understanding of system design principles and distributed computing concepts.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including specific knowledge of technologies such as HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of the Scrum agile framework and other relevant software development processes.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical solutions to both end-users and the engineering team.
• Ability to clearly and concisely explain sophisticated issues related to systems and processes.
