About the Finance Associate Role

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Finance Associate to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are ready to contribute to the financial operations of a leading regional market organization. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and proper execution of financial postings across various ledgers.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Finance Associate is responsible for managing financial postings related to payables, payroll, assets, and general ledgers. This role is critical in ensuring that all financial data is accurately updated within the system and executed in strict adherence to MAF Retail’s established financial accounting principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and verify financial data pertinent to accounting processes.
• Maintain and review purchase ledgers to ensure all expenses are accurately posted and monitored against the allocated budget.
• Review invoices for accuracy and veracity prior to payment processing.
• Process payments to vendors and contractors in accordance with contract terms, including advance payments and penalties.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for all accounts across different banks to ensure journal entries align with bank statements.
• Review adjusting entries and ensure supplier accounts are consistently updated.
• Handle and ensure the efficient completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including booking entries.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting statements and managerial reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
