About the Role

RAWAJ is seeking a highly experienced professional to join as a Finance Board Member / Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This part-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involves providing strategic financial leadership, governance oversight, and executive-level advisory to support the organization's growth and long-term objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to one of the fastest-growing industrial engineering companies in the Kingdom, specializing in metal and industrial processes, bringing over 10 years of relevant experience.

Strategic Contribution

This position requires a blend of strong board-level strategic exposure and hands-on CFO expertise. The individual will work closely with the Board, shareholders, and senior management to enhance financial performance, strengthen corporate governance, improve risk management frameworks, and inform strategic decision-making. The role is pivotal in guiding the company through periods of growth, transformation, and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to the Board and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to Board discussions on business strategy, financial performance, investment priorities, and long-term value creation.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and management reporting.
  • Review financial performance and offer actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Strengthen corporate governance, financial controls, risk management, and reporting frameworks.
  • Advise on capital structure, funding requirements, banking relationships, and financing strategies.
  • Support investment evaluations, financial due diligence, M&A opportunities, and strategic initiatives as required.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on financial restructuring and business transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure the finance function delivers accurate, timely, and decision-oriented information to the Board.
  • Support the development of appropriate KPIs, dashboards, and performance-monitoring frameworks.
  • Provide financial leadership on regulatory, audit, compliance, and stakeholder-related matters.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to shareholders and senior leadership, maintaining an independent Board-level perspective.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant senior-level experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Finance Board Member, or Board Advisor, with over 10 years in relevant roles.
  • Strong track record of providing financial and strategic guidance at Board and shareholder levels.
  • Extensive expertise across financial management, corporate finance, governance, planning, controls, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on financial leadership.
  • Experience supporting organizations through periods of growth, transformation, restructuring, or expansion.
  • Strong exposure to banking relationships, funding, investment evaluation, and financial due diligence.

Desired Attributes and Skills

  • Experience working within a holding company, diversified group, or multi-entity organization is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to IPO readiness, publicly listed companies, or Saudi capital-market / Nomu environments is a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience within the Saudi market or GCC business environment is preferred.
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to challenge, influence, and advise senior stakeholders effectively.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, independence, and professional credibility.
