The Role: Finance Operations Reconciliation Lead

Hala is seeking a Finance Operations Reconciliation Lead to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing and executing critical reconciliation processes within the finance operations department. The role involves ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to maintain financial integrity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the reconciliation and balancing analysis for pool accounts and customer transactions.
• Ensure accurate summary reconciliation reports are generated promptly and highlight necessary actions.
• Investigate transactions, bank interface issues, or customer claims and take appropriate actions.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Digital, Safeguarding, and Customer Care, to resolve reconciliation or customer claim issues.
• Promptly resolve or escalate any unaddressed risks.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of daily and periodic reconciliation processes.
• Ensure reconciliation controls and processes are current and effective.
• Coordinate data collection, verify data integrity, and summarize findings.
• Run and verify models, analyze results, and communicate findings.
• Maintain and upgrade knowledge of core aspects of banking and accounting reconciliation.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations for the financial institution.
• Support other departments in resolving customer issues.
• Perform ad-hoc requests and special projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in finance operations, with a focus on reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead reconciliation efforts and analyze complex financial data.
• Strong understanding of banking and accounting reconciliation principles and practices.
• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Proficiency in data collection, integrity checks, and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
