About the Role

stc is seeking a Financial Planning Assistant Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to overseeing financial modelling and budgeting processes, ensuring strategic financial oversight and effective resource allocation within the company.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to supervise activities related to financial modelling and budgeting. This includes examining financial proposals, deriving actionable insights, and providing well-reasoned recommendations on financial mandates to senior management across various work units.

Key Responsibilities in Financial Planning & Analysis

• Supervise work activities within assigned specializations such as financial analysis, financial modelling, and valuation to ensure efficient execution and achievement of financial targets.
• Contribute to enabling full cost allocation and profitability analysis for services and products, aiming to enhance the profitability of Business Units (BUs) and subsidiaries.
• Assist in identifying issues and areas of potential revenue leakage, recommending changes to operational business processes and systems to minimize risk and exposure.
• Analyze stc’s investment portfolio to assess returns against historical figures and support suggestions for optimization.
• Review and supervise reports concerning profitability, services, products, cost, and investments, in coordination with Financial Control.
• Report on revenue assurance functions, including billing and usage reconciliation, and conduct exercises for revenue leakage and fraud prevention.
• Review and supervise produced reports and metrics, identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures to mitigate relevant technical and operational risks.

General Oversight and Management Duties

• Examine proposals for variations in financial plans and/or budgets, providing recommendations based on thorough reasoning and logical arguments.
• Monitor the performance of the assigned work unit against pre-defined targets to ensure optimal achievement of goals.
• Analyze internal and external trends and patterns to identify potential issues and undertake preventive measures to mitigate medium-term technical and business risks.
• Supervise work units within the specified area to ensure efficient workflows and accurate outputs.
• Ensure adherence of deliverables to necessary procedural, legislative, and compliance standards.
• Manage projects and initiatives as required by the reporting senior.
• Supervise work teams, as needed, to ensure work continuity.
• Develop and supervise respective team members, as needed, for undertaking higher responsibilities.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Financial Planning Assistant Manager position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in financial planning, analysis, modelling, or a related field.
