Job Summary

Haji Abdullah Alireza & Co. is seeking a Fire Alarm & Physical Security Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on leading the engineering, design coordination, technical review, installation support, and testing and commissioning of Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Fireman Telephone, PAVA/PA systems, Physical Security, and other ELV systems. The primary responsibility includes managing ELV System interfaces, network architecture, calculations, approvals, and integrated testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead detailed engineering, project execution, and technical coordination for Fire Alarm, PAGA/PAVA, Fireman Telephone, and associated ELV systems across project buildings.
• Manage FAS engineering, including MFACP/SFACP, network/ring architecture, fire alarm loops, devices, modules, interfaces, and communication requirements, along with device, loop loading, voltage-drop, and battery calculations.
• Develop and review FAS layouts, riser diagrams, device schedules, cable schedules, I/O schedules, panel loading, and complete Cause & Effect Matrices.
• Coordinate FAS interfaces with HVAC, smoke control, fire/smoke dampers, elevators, access control, BMS, and other life-safety systems.
• Lead PAGA/PAVA engineering, covering zoning, speaker layouts, amplifier loading, redundancy, emergency paging, cable sizing, voltage drop, SPL, audibility, intelligibility, and FAS interface.
• Coordinate Fireman Telephone locations, cabling, control equipment, and emergency control-room interfaces.
• Oversee project execution and coordination of all ELV/ICT systems, including CCTV, ACS, IDS, structured cabling, fiber, network, and Wi-Fi, ensuring integration with architectural, MEP, electrical, HVAC, BMS, civil, and fire protection works.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, shop drawings, calculations, compliance statements, and RFIs, coordinating consultant/client comments and OEM requirements.
• Support material inspections and verify installation of FAS, PAGA/PAVA, Fireman Telephone, and associated ELV systems.
• Lead pre-commissioning, FAT, SAT, functional, and integrated testing, including FAS device testing, alarm sequences, Cause & Effect, PAGA/PAVA emergency paging, and interfaces with other systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of commissioning issues.
• Review final as-built drawings, calculations, Cause & Effect, configuration records, test reports, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors throughout installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
