About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a Senior Engineer – Fit-Out (Operations) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on the operational and administrative oversight of fit-out project execution. The role is crucial for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality, safety, and contractual specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all fit-out project operations, ensuring alignment with design, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Review project documentation including drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), specifications, and submittals for technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and resolving site and operational issues to prevent delays.
  • Coordinate effectively with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Prepare, manage, and control all project documentation, including reports, schedules, logs, correspondence, and approvals.
  • Track project progress and provide clear, timely weekly and monthly reports and dashboards to management.
  • Record and follow up on variations, claims, Requests for Information (RFIs), and change orders.
  • Maintain organized document control systems and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Serve as a primary communication link between operations, design, procurement, finance, and clients.
  • Lead coordination meetings, issue minutes of meetings (MoMs), and ensure closure of action items.
  • Support the smooth approval process for materials, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all works adhere to quality standards, contract specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee project inspections, snagging, and handover processes.
  • Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and ensure safe execution of works.
  • Support cost control by tracking budgets, reviewing expenditures, and highlighting financial risks.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve workflows, reporting systems, and administrative processes within the department.
  • Guide and support junior engineers and administrative staff, ensuring alignment with company procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills and Proficiencies

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems concepts with practical application experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project for project planning and execution.
  • Technical background in Primavera P6 and BIM tools (*, Revit).

Language and Communication

  • Good command of spoken and written English.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves overseeing project operations and requires close coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
