About the Role

stc is seeking a Funds Investment & Operation Analyst to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to identifying and evaluating potential investments that align with the Group’s strategic priorities and value creation goals. The role holder will be responsible for assessing the viability and growth potential of investee companies, evaluating risk exposure, and ensuring a fit with Group objectives, all while adhering to stipulated business policies and procedures.

Investment Sourcing and Evaluation

The Analyst will play a crucial role in the initial stages of the investment process, from identifying opportunities to preliminary assessment. This involves proactive engagement with the market and a thorough understanding of strategic alignment.

• Actively source investment opportunities by networking with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and industry experts.
• Identify and evaluate potential investments that align with the Group’s strategic priorities and value creation goals.
• Assess the viability and growth potential of investee companies, including risk exposure and fit with Group objectives.

Financial Analysis and Deal Execution

A core aspect of this role involves rigorous financial analysis, due diligence, and active participation in the structuring and presentation of investment proposals.

• Conduct financial analysis of target companies, including historical performance, projections, and funding needs.
• Develop financial models and valuations to assess appropriate investment pricing and expected returns.
• Lead comprehensive due diligence, coordinating internal and external experts to evaluate financial, legal, and operational aspects.
• Prepare investment thesis documents outlining rationale, risks, strategic value, and potential returns.
• Lead the negotiation and structuring of investment deals to maximize financial returns and strategic alignment.
• Present investment proposals to the investment committee, address concerns, and secure necessary approvals.

Compliance and Governance

The Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all investment activities adhere to established policies and regulatory frameworks.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with investment policy, governance models, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess foundational experience in relevant fields within the telecom industry.

• 0-1 year of prior experience in Business Development, Fund Investments, Planning, or Strategy within the telecom industry.
