About the Role

Vrinda Global is seeking a highly experienced Head of Civil Engineering to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is with a leading EPC organization focused on executing large-scale Substation & Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects within the Kingdom.

Role Purpose and Context

The successful candidate will lead the complete civil engineering function for high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) Substation and T&D EPC projects. This involves overseeing all civil aspects from initial engineering through to project handover, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete civil engineering function for HV/EHV Substation and T&D EPC projects.
• Manage engineering, construction, procurement support, commissioning, and project handover processes.
• Review and approve civil designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective execution of civil works.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with engineering, project management, QA/QC, procurement, and construction teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the GCC region, with a strong preference for experience gained in Saudi Arabia.
• Extensive EPC experience specifically in HV/EHV Substation & Transmission and Distribution projects.
• Proven experience in leading large civil teams and managing complete project execution.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies and practices.
• Proficiency in contract management related to civil projects.
• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management.
