Abdullah A. Barrak & Sons Co. is seeking a highly experienced Lead Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail and offers an opportunity to lead critical engineering activities within industrial projects.

Role Overview

The Lead Civil / Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and directing all civil and structural engineering aspects for significant Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects. This role requires a strong background in the discipline, ensuring that all project deliverables meet stringent design standards, safety protocols, and specific project requirements from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil and structural engineering activities for industrial projects.
• Review and approve civil/structural design drawings, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.
• Oversee structural analysis, foundation design, steel structure detailing, and site development activities.
• Ensure strict compliance with relevant international codes and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines and construction teams to ensure integrated project execution.
• Evaluate and approve technical submissions from contractors and vendors.
• Provide essential engineering support during construction, inspection, and commissioning phases of projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A strong academic and professional background in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil and structural engineering roles.
• Extensive and proven experience specifically within Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.

Technical Leadership and Project Execution

This role demands a professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities and a deep technical understanding. The Lead Civil / Structural Engineer will be instrumental in guiding project teams, making critical design decisions, and ensuring that all engineering work contributes to the successful and safe delivery of complex industrial facilities.
