About the Role: Head of Operations (Transportation & Logistics)

Everhires is seeking an experienced Head of Operations / Operations Director to lead and optimize the company’s end-to-end transportation operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for ensuring high standards of service quality, operational efficiency, safety, fleet utilization, cost control, and regulatory compliance, while supporting the company’s strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term operational strategies and annual operating plans aligned with company objectives.
• Lead operational expansion and support growth into new markets across Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee transportation operations, fleet management, maintenance, projects, procurement, and warehouses.
• Ensure fleet readiness and maximize fleet and resource utilization.
• Monitor operational efficiency, fuel consumption, productivity, operating hours, and downtime.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
• Optimize transportation routes and identify opportunities to reduce fuel consumption and operating costs.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and budgets.
• Ensure availability of required equipment, drivers, materials, and operational resources.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Lead process optimization and operational transformation initiatives.
• Manage operational risks, contingency planning, and business continuity.
• Oversee suppliers and contracts to ensure timely availability of materials and spare parts.
• Control operational costs and continuously improve spending efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• MBA is preferred.
• 15–20 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• 3–5 years of experience in the same or a similar senior operations position.
• Proven experience managing a large fleet.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Saudi transportation regulations and legislation.
• Solid knowledge of fleet-management and tracking systems.
• Strong expertise in KPI analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent operational leadership, decision-making, crisis-management, strategic-planning, and negotiation skills.
